Conference Registration Purchase Options:

Please note that every person who attends our conference is essentially a ‘financial aid recipient’ as we keep costs down by soliciting grants, donations, etc., in order to provide each attendee an experience at a total charge well under what one might expect to pay at a beach event like this (see what other conferences charge for essentially what is dorm living). The conference offerings (staff, food, drink, accommodations, labor, grounds, events, travel, etc.) come to well over $3800 per attendee who chooses housing and well over $2200 for those who choose the full conference registration without housing.

SPACE IS LIMITED: IF YOU NEED HELP WITH THIS OPTION, PLEASE EMAIL US DIRECTLY! This option provides registrants with private bedroom accommodations in local luxury homes in the area. Most booked housing will have private baths as well (at most you might share with one other attendee), but rest assured our housing is spectacular compared to the dorms one might experience at most conferences. This option allows you to relax and enjoy all that the LWC has to offer without having to find lodging on your own: seminars, readings, beach bonfire, shrimp boil, sunset receptions, and includes a workshop in a chosen genre. This option allows registrants to register for everything we offer while finding their own lodging or shared lodging with previous guests. This option allows you to relax and enjoy all that the LWC has to offer but DOES NOT include lodging: seminars, readings, beach bonfire, shrimp boil, sunset receptions, and includes a workshop in a chosen genre. Perhaps you just want to experience this conference but aren’t interested in the pressure of having your works critiqued? This option provides access to all that the LWC has to offer: seminars, readings, beach bonfire, shrimp boil, sunset receptions, BUT DOES NOT include housing and DOES NOT INCLUDE WORKSHOPS or the option to have your work critiqued. This is perfect for those writers and members of the public who just want to experience our conference and social events without the pressure of having your writing evaluated in a writing workshop.

WORKSHOP Registration ONLY (does NOT include housing, does not include seminars or events)

Perhaps you don’t have the time for all the offerings but would love to have your work critiqued in workshop? This option is for those who want workshop critiques but are not interested or do not have the time for the full conference experience. This will give you access to a workshop in your genre where you will have your work critiqued by experts and ensures an educational and electrifying experience. Please email directly with your genre after arranging payment. You may choose from CNF, Fiction, Poetry.

SEMINAR Pass ONLY (does NOT include housing, does not include workshop or major events))

Perhaps you just want to learn new craft approaches to writing but aren’t interested in the pressure of having your works critiqued or attending evening events? This option gives you access to ALL seminars (you get 10+ for the price of just over 6 seminars) being offered by agents, writers, faculty over the course of the week. This is a perfect option for those who want to learn more about the craft of writing and the agent and publishing industry, but who might not be able to attend all the evening events and are not interested in having their own creative writing critiqued in workshop. Beach bonfire and Seafood Boil NOT included (see All-Access Conference Pass or please purchase separately)

The small print: All attendees, guests, faculty, agents, editors, and registrants MUST TEST NEGATIVE or SHOW PROOF OF UP-TO-DATE VACCINATION/BOOSTER for COVID. We will do our best to monitor all negative tests (should show negative on first day and we will test throughout the week) and we expect our guests to follow all safety guidelines outlined for group interactions by the CDC. As a reminder, all payments for full enrollment with housing (F2F) cannot be refunded after March 25th (it is likely that the reservation will not be filled, which costs the conference substantial losses). We also cannot offer a refund for full registration (F2F) without housing after April 15th (it is unlikely that we would be able to fill that workshop spot, which also costs us dearly). If you have registered after April 15th, we will refund 50%.

Thank you for being conscientious of our situation: we roll almost all our finances into our financial aid programs and this conference is run by two writers who only want to give back to their community of international writers. Any empty seats or empty rooms are actual tangible losses that come directly out or our pockets (and therefore those deserving emerging writers we bring to Florida!)

There will be a service fee for refunds before these dates ($200 for registrations with housing, $100 for registrations without housing and conference registration without workshops). All other sales are final. 

PLEASE NOTE FOR 2023: In the event of a full conference cancellation, we will offer full refunds or options to register at cost for future conferences with funds from cancelled conference. If we cancel our conference but are able to provide a remote option, we will offer you a full cancellation refund or fair offers for changes to your enrollment options.

All a la carte options are first-come, first-serve, but will remain open throughout the conference. We do fill up so it is a good idea to purchase before the month of May

The smaller small print? We will do everything we can to be fair, but every penny we lose due to late cancellations means loss of opportunities for other writers and impacts our ability to offer financial aid year to year.
